SAIC has a contingent job opening for a Software Development Program Manager in Kittery, ME.
Please note this is a contingent position pending successful contract award.
The Program Manger will manage a team of software engineers to develop a new program utilizing commercial tools. This program will integrate seamlessly with existing naval shipyard corporate applications. The Program Manager will analyze requirements, develop technical solutions, schedule development activities, adhere to a sound developmental methodology, conduct product review sessions, and interact with multiple customers, end users, peers, subordinates, and senior management on regular basis. The Program Manager will plan and implement actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements. Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as principal customer interface.
Qualifications
:
Basic Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline from an accredited institution.
· Active Secret clearance
· In addition to educational requirement, a minimum of 10 years of related experience, including:
- 8+ years hands on experience in software applications development, recent success using Agile Methodology
- 5+ years managing a software development team using rigorous software engineering processes and principles
- 8+ years’ experience managing software development schedules and budgets
- 5+ years providing system design and system architecture support
- Experience managing a Firm Fixed Price Contract.
- Demonstrated team building skills
- Experience utilizing large data movement tools
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Advanced Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
· Experience working in a U.S. Navy shipyard
· Project/Program Management Experience
· PMP certification
