Description:
Responsible for managing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. Plan, coordinate, and manage the actions taken by an organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively. Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements. Plan and implement actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services. Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalen experience. 5+ years of project management experience in similar environmen.
Project Management Skills: Incumbent(s) are successful at directing the planning, development and implementation of small projects according to cost, schedule, and scope requirements. Participates in project initiation activates, including plan and budget preparation; leads the project team in successfully executing the project as planned and budgeted; and oversees project closeout activates, including collecting lessons learned.
People Management Skills: Incumbent(s) should have the ability to manage cross-functional teams responsible for delivering high-quality project outputs on time and within budget. Ensures appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project.
The successful candidate will manage staff assigned to, and must have an understanding of, the Army Legacy Exchange Messaging Services, DISA Enterprise Email NIPRNet and SIPRNet Messaging Services. Must also be knowledgeable in areas such as Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Outlook Web Access, and Mobile Messaging Devices.
Customer Interface Skills: Must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, and assures customer we are executing project effectively. Domain Knowledge and Expertise: Should have moderate knowledge of this field and domain gained by experience in working on similar projects / programs, may have specialized domain technical knowledge that needs to be broadened into a more comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of domain.
