Description:
SAIC is looking for a Project Portfolio Manager in the Stuttgart, Germany area.
The Project Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. Plan, coordinate, and manage the actions taken by an organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively. Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements. Plan and implement actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services. Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface.
The Project Portfolio Manager should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience:
- In-depth knowledge of C4 operational and technical Information Technology (IT) requirements.
- Advanced comprehension of ADPE applications and WAN network systems similar to those in use at HQ USEUCOM and HQ USAFRICOM.
- Experience in the management and control of complex information systems architectures; systems involving multiple disparate databases, networks, and communications subsystems.
- Management experience in a C4 networking environment with a significant number of direct staff.
- Experience supervising substantial DoD C4I operations which encompass software development, user and network systems integration, and training in diverse operating environments with people of various job categories and skills.
- C4 experience in a military headquarters or command center environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher (1), a business administration or other degree may be preferred.
Experience in Managing Projects and Track Record: Prior Project experience required, should have 8+ years of experience working on projects or programs, with at least 4 years serving successfully in positions of major responsibilities such as a Project Manager. Organization PM Training: Organization Core Curriculum or equivalency for Project Type 2: electives based on assessment. Certifications: PMP® or other certification (e.g. DAWIA) highly recommended.
