Description:
SAIC currently has an opening for skilled Business Analyst. We are seeking an outstanding individual contributor to work in a team environment that demonstrates the ability to identify Stakeholders and elicit business needs in order to transform them into documented, actionable requirements. Our team of analysts is standards driven utilizing the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge from the International Institute for Business Analysis as our foundation. We use this foundation to plan our requirements gathering and management to utilize the right mix of visual and textual descriptions facilitating the efficient communication of business needs within our teams. We work in a team based environment that pairs you with seasoned Project Managers. The documented outputs of your analysis are the foundation for the project and you will need to be able to effectively communication that information to other Quality Assurance, Data Architects, and Development professionals.
Identifies the appropriate techniques and gathers business needs from stakeholders. Analyzes user needs and documents requirements, preparing detailed documentation from which processes can be managed and programs will be written. Identifies problem areas and recommends optimal solution to business and technical problems.
The successful candidate must be able to do the following:
1. Identify and document the business processes associated with their project,
2. Identify gaps in processes and document options on how to improve them through defining requirements and validating process diagrams,
3. Identify which processes are supported by an application, what data supports a process, and what technology infrastructure is in place to support a process,
4. Relate organizational units to business processes, and validate business architecture with subject matter experts.
5. Perform extensive documentation analysis to identify impact based on change requests.
6. Identifies and creates the checklists, tools, and job aids to support business users in problem resolution and repeatable processes for gathering end user problem information for use by the team for technical resolution.
This position will report to an SAIC manager. Employment requires a government NACI background investigation and drug screening. Travel to field sites at metropolitan cities within the continental US is estimated at less than 10%.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience in Business Analysis. Possess excellent oral and technical written communications. Be able to demonstrate a working proficiency in SQL Server querying skills.
Working experience with Microsoft Office tools, Visio Professional, and SharePoint. A working knowledge of Scrum, the programs preferred agile methodology for project management is a plus.
